AA.VV. - Confuzed Disco (IRMA / Mantra Vibes)

Usciva nel corso del 2006 Confuzed Disco, a retrospective of Italian Records, compilation che, fin dal nome, vuol'essere al contempo un recupero e un tributo di quella che fu un etichetta fondamentale per l'affermarsi dell'Italo Disco.
Fondamentale non solo per le produzioni, quanto per la capacità di entrare in un mercato, quello della disco music, che all'epoca "ci" escludeva totalmente.
E' lo stesso Giovanni Natale, co-fondatore dell'etichetta, a spiegare, nel booklet i passi di questo rapido fenomeno, le radici sociali di una città di provincia alla fine degli anni 70 e le contaminazioni che hanno permesso l'innesco del fenomeno Italo Disco.

Tutt'altro che all'oscuro di tutto ciò IRMA recordings e Mantra Vibes hanno avuto modo di accedere nuovamente all'archivio musicale di Italian Records, realizzando una compilation formata da 2 Cd contenenti versioni originali o quasi (cd1) e remix della nuova generazione italo-tronica (Scuola Furano per citare dei nostri, ma anche Lindstrom e Prins Thomas nel cd 2)

Un'operazione interessante soprattutto per un primo approccio alle radici del genere e, va detto, corredata da un bel packaging e da un semplice ma esaustivo booklet che raccoglie le copertine dei brani presenti dal repertorio di GazNevada, N.O.I.A., Kirlian Camera, Stupid Set (costola di Gaz Nevada) e ovviamente Confusional Quartet, ai quali il titolo della compilation vuole direttamente rendere omaggio.

Consigliata per i nuovi adepti al genere e/o, nella versione doppio LP, per "esperte" manie di collezionismo.

"Confuzed Disco, a restropective of Italian Records" came out in 2006 and already in the main title wants to be a redevelopment and a tribute to one of the most important labels in Italo Disco's affirmance.
Fundamental not only for production, but most of all for the ability to jump in a market,the disco music's one, totally exluded for "us".
Is Giovanni Natali himself, label founder, to explain in the booklet the steps of this fast phenomenon, social roots of an italian town (Bologna) at the end of the 70's and contaminations who permetted the priming of "Italo Disco Phenomenon".

Obviously informated about that, Irma recordings & Mantra Vibes had way to approach newly Italian REcords musical archive, making a double disc compilation with original versions (cd1) and remix from the "new generation heroes" (the italians Scuola Furano, but also Lindstrom & Prins Thomas)

A very interesting operation specially for Italo Disco newbies in association with a very nice packaging and a smart booklet with covers from GazNevada, N.O.I.A., Kirlian Camera, Stupid Set (born from GazNevada) and of course Confusional Quartet,
who are homaged since the compilation's name.

Suggested to newbies and , in vinyl version, to "expert" collectors!
